Course Description
This is no ordinary
class.
Learn in three days what
you need to know to upgrade, secure, and administer
Microsoft's newest and best web server.
You will
get more useful, straightforward, detailed
information in this presentation than in most 5 day
classes that cost more. Brett is able to achieve this
because he has been teaching IIS 6 since before it was
released and has written, lectured, and consulted
extensively on the server. That coupled with his years of
experience as a trainer and speaker allow him to present the
key points clearly and directly without the "marketing"
fluff you get in most classes. He makes it a point to while
avoid wasting time on features that are interesting, but not
that useful in actual practice.
The class
is not a "feature review" that you get from most books and
classes, but a drill down on what works; what doesn't
work; new ideas made possible by the server; tweaks, and
behaviors you might not expect-- both positive and negative.
As usual, his insights are informed from real world
experience as well as regular consultation with the IIS
team. If he doesn't have the answer to a question, he asks
the authors of the code.
